Caryn
L. Marcus Caryn Marcus is a commercial litigator, concentrating in complex commercial matters and real estate litigation. Caryn appears regularly before federal and state courts in New York and handles all aspects of litigation. Some of her more significant matters include: Amalgamated Lithographers of America, Local One v. Armen Graphics, Ltd., 1997 WL 458738 (S.D.N.Y. 1997); JC's East, Inc. v. Traub, 1995 WL 555765 (S.D.N.Y. 1995), aff'd, 84 F.3d 527 (2nd Cir. 1996), and S-Fer Int'l, Inc. v. Paladion Partners, Ltd., 906 F. Supp. 211 (S.D.N.Y. 1995). Caryn received an A.B. from Duke University in 1986 and a J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1989, where she was the articles editor of the Journal of Urban & Contemporary Law, in which her note, "Suspensions & Expulsions Under the Education for All Handicapped Children Act:A Victory for Handicapped Children or Defeat for School Officials" was published at 36 J.Urb.Contemp.L. 137 (1989). Caryn was chairperson of the Moot Court Board, a finalist in the Wiley Rutledge Moot Court Competition and the recipient of the Golden Quill Award for Best Brief in 1987.
